Howdy,
I need some help from all of you in LA-LA-Land, please. I'm heading out to LA on business in the next few weeks and I will (hopefully) have enough time on my hands to hit the shops. Any particularly good record/CD stores I need to hit? Any clubs that do new wave nights during the week?

Depends on what you're looking for.

The main shop you'll have to hit is Amoeba (corner of Sunset & Cahuenga) - the world's largest indie record store. Think of a visit to Amoeba much like a visit to Las Vegas - ONLY bring as much money as you're prepar
