I just stumbled upon Mylo's "Destroy Rock & Roll" from last year's album of the same name. Have a listen. Is this the ultimate call-out song? The guy calling for hellfire is pretty freakin hilarious, especially the idiot's David "Boo-ie" mispronunciation plus "Culture Club, including Boy George"...well, of course, that goes without saying, LOL!

Hilarious - Love it Blir!

I remember a show that would come on very late at night. I guess it was an infomercial for a self-produced video on the evils of popular music. It was on around '91 or so & the boy-minister listed most of those same artists - which was so funny because it was hopelessly out of date.

Good God, Blir where do you find this?! It's hilarious. I always thought Huey Lewis was the epitome of Rock and Rock Evil--now it's confirmed!

My favorite band call-out song has always been "American Beat" by the Fleshtones. I don't remember if they mispronounce anyone's name, though.

American Heavy Metal Weekend by The Circle Jerks, just for the line:

"....and dont forget the NUGE....dude!"

This same exact sound sample was used (to better effect, IMO) on the track "Michael Jackson" by the group Negativland way back in 1987. It appeared on the album "Escape From Noise" which also included a track called "Christianity Is Stupid." Negativland later hoaxed the media by putting out a fake press release claiming some kid murdered his family after listening to this song. Like "Michael Jackson," "Christianity" is made up mostly of samples of a preacher (although this time taken completely out of context.) Great stuff.
