Doctors of Madness-one of the well hidden secrets of british punk.Started as Great White Idiot,and managing for one time by Lulu(sixtees icon and Bowie's muse)mixed their dark atmospheric glam rock with the first seeds of punk rock.Their music was serious, far from every Slade or Mud and the decadent lyrics of singer Richard Kid Strange, had to do more with Reed's street stories.Their image was something from outer space through blue hair,aggressive behaviourand a violent violin to distort their sound.Their three albums are a great purchase and hugely influential to bands like Damned and Adverts.Between 1975-78,changed the London scene's fate and spread around the first ethics of Do it yourself!

Influencial enough on the Damned for Dave Vanian to join when the original Damned split in 1978.
