Which city do you think has produces the best New/wave alternative music?

New York late seventies.
Manchester 1980's.
Liverpool 1980's.
Los angeles 1980's.
Any other.

For me it is definetly Manchester 1980's.

Too many era defining/ revolutionary bands to name.

Anyone agree/disagree/suggest any I've missed?

Although it is probably trite to say, I would pick London early 1980's.

Being a local Angeleno, I gotta say that the LA/OC punk/new wave music scene from '79 - '84 produced more great songs than any other area. And I'm not talking Motley Crue or any of the LA hair metal crap. Maybe none of our local bands hit the internatio
