The sunken submarine in Russia got me and a friend talking about thomas Dolby. He said Thomas Dolby played keyboard for Foriener for a short while. I guess Google could tell me but you guys are the experts. Is that true?

Check out "Foreigner 4" Ben, Thomas Dolby was all over "Urgent". Without getting any verification, I believe he helped produce that record as well.

That's pretty cool Ben. Hey, isn't Tony Carey, the lead singer/keyboardist for Industry playing keyboards for Pink Floyd? I heard that somewhere too.

he's not just on "urgent", he's all over that album- those textural things in the background of "waiting for a girl like you" are pure thomas. this gig (and some joan armatrading and thompson twins and def leppard) helped him put money into finishing "golden age" i hear. session work well worth it!

I'm playing that submarine song on my show this Monday. Hopefully those guys will be rescued by then...if not, they are screwed.

Yes. A very happy day indeed. It reminds me of the guys in the coal mine in PA a couple of years ago. I hope they make a movie out of it...

WOW.
You guys know so many obscure factoids about our favourite music. I love how I learn something new about something old, all the time here. I had NO idea about the Foreigner connection. I'm not a Foreigner fan, but I DO love "Urgent" and "Jukebox Hero". Oh my yes.
