The Zounds ! Anybody ever heard of'em or remember them.A friend sent this to me and I found out a cd has been re-released.It's great to get turned on to more lost music from the late 70's/early 80's that I'm unaware of.This tune is called "Demystification" from Curse of the Zounds !

What a great underrated band were the Zounds!Combining elements of German rock minimalistic sound(Can,Neu!) and the dark mysterious feeling of post-punk,created one of the most unexpected albums of early eightees. They were like anyone else in punk community, and their stable anarchism based political opinions, went hand in hand with their terrific music.''Curse of Zounds'' is also a wonderfull artistic testament due to its album cover- a nod to the ''flame'' of agit punk rock. The cd reissue contains all of their singles after ''Curse...''which turn to power pop-new wave direction, all brilliant.Still today Zounds sound fresh, dramatic and ahead of their time!
