Anyone know much about this Austin Texas band? They put out a couple of great great albums back in the 80's and broke up in the early 90's. Was any of their stuff every put on CD? Songs like "In Your Eyes," "Saturday," "Star Telegram" were all primo stuff. Too bad they never got the recognition they deserved. They were not technically "new wave," more like "country punk" along the lines of Lone Justice, Rank & File, Jason & the Scorchers and Rubber Rodeo.

I just bought "End of the Day" a month ago and was disappointed; there weren't many catchy songs on it. "Saturday", on the other hand, is an underrated classic album. Like the songs you mentioned, "In Your Eyes", "Saturday" and even "Baby" are extremely good pop songs.

I'd like to give "Pop Beloved", "Translate Slowly" and Zeitgeist a listen if I can find them.

I've always liked the tune It's About Time, but I can't think of how anything else goes right now.
