Was lounging in the pool yesterday listening to him and I was wondering if he was still around.

Yep, Donnie still lives outside of Pittsburgh and performs in the "Rust Belt" cities quite often. He mainly plays the fair and small club circuit. I saw him last year in Pittsburgh and the show was INCREDIBLE! Not bad for a guy pushing 65.

Have you ever heard his bubblegum/pop band in 70s the Jaggerz? Its great stuff similar to early Bee Gees,Mud and Monkees.Beyond that, i think he made some really terrific songs in early eightees, as part of the power pop/hard rock hysteria.

I would love to see Donnie Iris live. Would be a fun concert. I downloaded the albums "Back on the streets" to "Fortune 410" back in the day on Napster and it is one awesome run of albums. Never really listened to anything he did after that. It's a shame that he couldn't get more national airplay. Hope he's doing OK.

Donnie Iris was born Dominic Ierace on February 28, 1943 in New Castle, PA. Not bad Kimiiii for a guy pushing 65 [8D]

Not surprising since he had a hit in 1970 as lead singer of the Jaggerz - The Rapper!

The only question... was he referring to Snoop, Diddy or Tupac? [;)]

Let me first say .... "Injured In The Game Of Love" = A CLASSIC

Donnie really knew how to make good musical jams in the 80's and reflected on hard-core power pop, if you are not too familiar with him you should check out his many wonderful albums he had put out, come on guys the man did more than "Ah Leah" and "Love Is Like A Rock"

PS. Not to mention the hysterical video for "Injured In The Game Of Love"

DevoManiac - Could not possibly agree more! "Injured" was a GREAT SONG! I had the LP of "No Muss...No Fuss" and was stoked when it finally came out on CD. The whole disc is solid. Never seen the video, though - hilarious, you say? Maybe VH1 Classic will give me a treat sometime ...

As far as I am concerned the channel is dead, and the chances of seeing any great early 80's video's added to the station might just seem impossible these days. Around early 2003 you could request about just anything and get it aired. I have been trying for them to play Rubinoos "If I Had You Back" and no luck. If you like we can work out a trade, I know you'll love the video if you love the song
