Ultimate New Wave SHOWDOWN!

Postby MARV » Sat Aug 27, 2005 12:40 am

I think I remember WLIR having a "New Wave Olympics" years ago. It lasted a few days if I remember correctly. Remember how they would do all these skits? Well they did a whole Olympics theme - it was hilarious.

Well let's do a Wrestlmania one [:p][:D][:p][:D][:p]

I wanna see Jimmy Somerville go toe to toe with the lead singer of Midnight Oil. Let the bald guy open up a can of WHUP ASS on the scrawny little guy![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Call me in on this one Marv, I'm an active wrestling manager for both CCW in Harrisburg, PA & the NWL based out of Hagerstown, MD. Go to www.nwlwrestling.com & you'll find me listed as JR Manitoba (yep, in tribute to the Dictators). There should be some photos up tomorrow from tonight's show in Martinsburg of me being a dastardly villain.

I think Jimmy Sommerville would just scream in that high pitch and everyone would fall down holding their ears. Thus Jimmy wins!

OK, so let's say Jimmy then goes up against say Peter Hook of New Order. I say the punk rocker cracks his bass over the vibrato's head and jumps on the ropes screaming for more! Who's gonna take him?

There are pics from Saturday night up now. There should be a menu on the homepage that says "results & action photos". Click that, then look for Martinsburg, WV on August 27th. There aren't any really good ones, but you can see me at ringside in the background in most of the pics from the Jason Static vs Gutterboy match. On Sept 10, I have to be handcuffed the ringpost so that I can't interfere.
