The Ruts

I used to have one of their early albums and only liked one song from the album.It was their reggaefied hit "Jah War" The rest at the time sounded more like hardcore Punk,so I got rid of the album after listening to it.Apparently I was wrong about The Ruts,because years later I found a copy of their Greatest Hits on CD and loved it.Funny how as you get older bands that didn't once appeal to you,now all of a sudden do.Guess that has to do with the lack of great music out there since the 90's.

Does anyone else remember The Ruts? I remember either reading somewhere or hearing it somewhere that their lead singer had died awhile back.

The Ruts only had one official album called "The Crack". Singer Malcom Owen died of a heroin overdose around 1980. Shockingly so as one of the Rut's best songs was called "H Eyes" about the dangers of heroin addiction. Afterwards the rest of the band c
