I was listening to any album that I bought years ago,by a guy by the name of Walter Steding called "Dancing In Heaven" nope, not the same song that the band Q Feel had a hit with. The cover which has a cool cover of Walter on the front of the album jacket, standing out in a field somewhere and palying the fiddle. What a great lost New Wave album too.He was on a record label called Animal Records. The album features Chris Stein as a guest doing backup vocals and playing the guitar.Very New Wave for it's time. And also very good too.
Does anyone else here remember who Walter Steding was?

The name is very familiar but for the life of me I can't place it right now.
Animal Records was Chris Stein's label. He put out "Zombie Birdhouse" by Iggy Pop.

I have a 7" of Walter Stedding - " Get Ready " but the b side is a cover version of Elvis's " Hound Dog " With Robert Fripp on guitar. It's completely deranged , but good !

I have the same 45 with Fripp love it too.I think Walter was overshadowed by FM and Nash the Slash or Ben Mink for using non rock instruments in a rock format.
