I have been a longtime fan of this <a href="http://www.jeffgrote.com/ktp/ktp.html" target="blank">North London based synthpop band</a>
The driving synth percussion of 'Certain Things Are Likely' and the gorgeous 'One Step' featuring lush scintillating synth riffs and soulful backing vocals.. 'Hey Mister! Hey Mister! will always be a defining musical memory from the mid 1980's.
BTW: I have the CTAL CD to upload to the hub if anyone is interested.[;)]

I bought the 12" of Certain Things Are Likely, and preferred the extended version over the album version. This LP was fantastic all the way through. I liked it so much that I bought Naked and, although it's much different, I love it too.
My only beef with the CTAL CD is that it omitted the extended version of the title track. Where can I find that on CD?

one of KTP(i can't recall which one...) is from my home town, and i used to work with bloke who'd played guitar with him in a previous band - and he used to grumble about being stuck in his job, while his ex-bandmate was on "top of the pops"... AND i once had a conversation with someone i only ever met once back in the late 80's, who was present at the water-tower incident, and he was recalling going to the tower and just banging on the sides with sticks etc... reading that website brought it all back!!!

Love the early stuff, up thru Naked. Haven't really heard much since then, but I have been told it's nothing like what I would expect.
Hand Held Cameras is a great song, but my favorite would have to be The Dessert Song off of Naked.

Yes 2Nu, I have CTAL on cd. I love it, it's great.
NuWaveRx, you had me laughing when I read your post.
You reminded my of my old boyfriend who would say "Kissing The Pink" and laugh everytime. Boys will be boys....[;)]

My favorite track of theirs is "The Last Film". Unfortunately, they started out as cool, weird New Wave and ended up as mainstream pop wannabes.

They had a handful of singles out before "Naked". Sorry for confusion...
