Don't know if this has already been covered but.....

I think the Pet Shop Boys has THE longest song title:

I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Any More

13 words, geez.....

Nice one. I'm kinda partial to Tchaikovsky's little ditty from Swan Lake:
"Acte 2-13. Danses des cygnes: V. Pas d'action. Andante - Andante non troppo - Tempo I - Allegro"

But if you mean new wave, then I gotta go with the Freshies 1980 obscurity, still just 13 words but longer:
"I'm In Love With The Girl On A Certain Manchester Megastore Checkout Desk"

One could also argue for Sting's song below but it's only listed in its full form on Bring on the Night - usually just "When the World is Running Down":
"When the World is Running Down, You Make the Best of What's Still Around"

But then if you want to include 80s pop, how about this 16 worder from Brilliant Corners:
"Why Do You Have To Go Out With Him When You Could Go Out With Me?"

LOL! That's cool Marv. Any chance I get to mention this is very welcome:

I give you - THE CHAMPION:

The Son of a Disgruntled X-Postal Worker Reflects on His Life While Getting Stoned in the Parking Lot of a Winn Dixie While Listening to Metallica - Alice Donut

26 words. I know the slower people among us will still post their feeble little 12 worders since they did last time but I defy anyone to beat this.

Not new wave but an influential band for our music-Tyrannosavrous Rex(aka Marc Bolan) first album''My people were fair and had sky in their hair...But now they are content to wear stars''Isn't it really weird?

Those of you who like long titles would love the newest album by Sufjan Stevens "Illinoise". It's not new wave but it's brilliant and includes such gems as: “THE BLACK HAWK WAR, or, How to Demolish an Entire Civilization and Still Feel Good About Yourself in the Morning, or, We Apologize for the Inconvenience but You’re Going to Have to Leave Now, or, ‘I have fought the Big Knives and will continue to fight them until they are off our lands!’ ”

The longest NW title I can think of is by The Toy Dolls: "Queen Alexandra Road Is Where She Said She'd Be, But Was She There To Meet Me... No Chance"

I'm a Cranky Old Yank in a Clanky Old Tank on the Streets of Yokohama with my Honolulu Mama Doin’ Those Beat-o, Beat-o Flat-On-My-Seat-o, Hirohito Blues - Hoagy Carmichael

I found this one and could not resist. It's 30 words by my count.

The longest one I personally know of is "I've Sung One Too Many Songs for a Crowd that Didn't Want to Hear" by The Ocean Blue

Actually come to think of it, Sufjan Stevens has some long fucking song titles.

Time was on my side for so long, 'til it said "so long" to me.
