I absolutely loved their material.Hardly any of their songs made me cringe.I think when they were in their prime and at the height of their popularity that they were a band that everyone who liked New Wave should have capitolized on more than they did. They sounded like a band who could have gone on for many more years than they did.I liked them so much that I had to get their albums not only on LP,but also on CD as well, and also their Greatest Hits, even though I have all of their songs from both of their albums. That's how much I really liked these guys.

Today in the year 2004 we could use another band like The Housemartins.Happy Hour was a real classic. That whole first album "London O Hull 4 was a real masterpiece, well at least it was to me in my opinion.Kind of as big a masterpiece as Aztec Camera's very first album "High Land,Hard Rain" was as equal a masterpiece.

Hmmm, you seem to cringe a lot to New Wave songs. [:)] But, I just bought a large CD collection that had two Housemartins CD's, so now I will give 'em a spin.

I really dig the Housemartins. I've introduced several freinds to this band over the years. I'm a big fan a Beautiful South also. Especially their earlier stuff.

Anyways Housmartins have a DVD out
