David Bowie New Wave songs

I was just wondering...
What New Wave songs did David Bowie make? What were his best ones?
I pretty much just know "Let's Dance". (Also, his songs from [i]Labyrinth[/i], but that's not really New Wave, is it? "You remind me of the babe...")

Check out his 'Scary Monsters' Album.
As far as I'm concerned, the title track, 'Ashes to Ashes' as well as my fave 'Fashion' are all Quintessential NW IMO.[8D]

As far as I'm concerned most anything by David Bowie could be categorized as New Wave, proto-new wave, and post-wave.

Ditto Wovie, fer shure. Except his Tin Machine stuff...I'm still on a crusade to have all of that officially labeled as EXCREMENT!

Hey c'mon! The second album had ONE good song "Baby Universal", sort of a son-of-Ziggy track. "Hello humans...etc.".
Actually I think 1984's TONIGHT album is worse than the second Tin Machine album. Too much cocktail jazz for bohemian ad executives.

I agree that ''Scary Monsters''is his pure new wave effort,and all the songs have a dark-almost frightening- feeling.Then i would go with his Berlin-Eno period with the futuristic-experimental sound.

Also, "I Am the DJ" from that time period. "Heroes" is excellent. And as Wolvie said, Bowie's part of the proto-New Wave scene for sure!

I always thought 'Fame' and 'Golden Years' were timeless precursors to the advent of NW, 'Proto NW' if you will.
Two of my all time fave Bowie trax. [8D][;)]

I think Lodger? Is that the album from '79?....was a good NW feel album from Bowie as well.
