What was your first concert? Where? How was it?

Mine was Siouxsie and the Banshees at Seattle's Paramount in 1985. Amazing! I was only 15 years old, and it was an eye opening experience- their performance and the people attending the concert.

I know we talked about this before but,
My first concert was the Dobbie Brothers at the Nassau Coliseum in 1981.
My first New Wave concert may have been APB at Heartbeat.

It was Def Leppard (don't laugh) sometime in the early to mid-nineties (their Adenalize tour). I went with my future husband and his best friend. I thought it was really crowded and hot and stinky. The best part of the evening was on the way home, when we saw some friends stranded on the side of the road. As the three of us got out to help them, their car burst into flames. The girl driving apparently didn't know you are supposed to change your oil. D'oh!

Where I am, we just don't get decent concerts. Well, that's not true. We don't get people that I would ever go see on my own. Because I'm married to Mr. Metallica, I've seen Ozzy, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Tesla, The Black Crows and a lot of stuff like that.

I find it odd that those bands come this part of Texas, the land of big pickups and cows.

Billy Joel 1983 or 1984 at Madison Square Garden NYC. "Innocent Man" was the album. He puts on a good show, but I begin to learn that I don't care for big arena shows.

First "New Wave-ish" show:
The Cure at Pier 84, New York City, August 1986. Some band calling themselves "10000 Maniacs" opened for them.

It was either that, or maybe the Ramones at The Ritz NYC before hand... can't clearly remember.

First big arena concert was Ozzy Osbourne January 1982, Diary Of A Madman tour. Randy Rhodes was still alive and playing guitar. For 20 years I thought it was a great showm then I got a bootleg of the concert and realised that Ozzy's voice was crap that night and he couldn't hit the side of a barn let alone the right notes!
