How hard would it be for us to come up with an ultimate list of practically everything mentioned on these boards?

new wave/indie even synthpop wise...

I am picturing a big huge new wave list...of songs and music to collect. I know one of you guys started it in the beginning and its up to about 2,000 items now. I was wondering if there was a way to recreate it and continue it to today?

How about I try collecting playlists?
Anyone have massive playlists, wishlists, ANYTHING they can send me?

I've loitered around the board for about a year until finally deciding to join. I kept up with a lot save for Off topic stuff...that section of the forum is just plain too weird.

Brand new to the boards and you're hitting us up for the mother of all NW music lists?

I know you have a lot of mp3s. I read all about the hub. I cant share files for port 5630 on my computer is frozen.

Besides most of my collection now exists on vinyl. Im just a collector like the rest of you. So cut the slack on requesting file lists.

besides if we had a big list, even you Coogan, might find something that you might want to track down and enlist in your vinyl collection.

I'll have to find the guy who put the list together.
But I just think that it'd be a wonderful idea.
I know Winamp can generate some PLS files. You can send those to me.

You share mp3s on the hub-get the hub users to generate some lists..and we could get a start with that. I can sort them according to genre.

It'd probobly contain about 15,000 songs...and only 60% of them would be new wave or of interest.

What can we do to get you digitizing? I jumped in the digitizing pool a few months ago (got a bunch of "zeros" and "ones" all over me) and have enjoyed converting some of my rare stuff to mp3 format.

Sorry Lissus, I only had about 200 albums in my vinyl colection (and hardly anything I would consider obscure or rare, since I've been exposed to all the amazing NW music that I find from people talking here and through the few years Audioparagon.com was streaming) when I stopped buying albums in 1988 or so. Over the past 15 years or so, I slowly bought as much of the ones that I wanted to replace with cd's, and about 2 years ago I traded in or gave away the rest of the vinyl, so I'm entirely cd and mp3 based now.

My wife and I also went through our 600+ cd collection and weeded out about 100 or so (cd's with only a few good songs that we liked), by ripping the songs we wanted to keep at 320 KPBS in mp3 format and made 2 back up copies, and traded in those cd's to a store caled Bookmans here in the Phoenix area, and we get dvds and other cds for the trade, so it worked out well.
