Robyn Hitchcock?

Hmm..I think we could pretty much count The Soft Boys as a new wave act but what about Robyn Hitchcock solo? Since his career has taken so many twists and turns over the years, this begs the question: Is it once New Wave always New Wave or does a New Wave artist cease to be a New Wave artist after a certain period?

Good Question. Since I have most of Robyn's work, I still consider him new wave. After all, his music would not fit on any radio station format these days. I still think Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson as new wave althought they have experimented with ma

Yeah, I think pretty much the same way. I still envision Elvis Costello posing behind that camera on the cover of "This Year's Model" whenever his name is mentioned, despite his looking and sounding very different now.
