I am headed to Philly on biz, any good ideas for places to check out? I will be in the South Street area, which I love, but I will have rental car for several days, so I can travel all over the area... suggestions are welcome indeed! Thanks ahead of time.

If you're willing to travel north about an hour, maybe less, Princeton has a great place. The Princeton Record Exchange.
20 South Tulane Street
Princeton, NJ 08542

Here's their website:

I live (and work & play) in Philly. Here are my favorite spots:

The Philadelphia Record Exchange
618 South 5th Street (right off South Street)

AKA Music
27 N. Second Street ("Old City" between Market & Arch)
http://www.akamusicphilly.com/

The Marvelous
208 South 40th Street ("University City" between Walnut & Spruce)
http://themarvelous.com/

Spaceboy Music
704 South Street

And I second the suggestion for the Princeton Record Exchange which is, of course, in NJ.

That'll get you started. Have fun!
