...so is it New Wave or Next Wave?

It's called "Everybody Dies", and I like it a lot.

They're playing in New Jersey next week, at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.

Just keeping your scorecards updated...

Dramarama's got a new album...

I laughed. I cried. I wondered why. I never really liked them much with the exception "Anything," so I can't say that they're one of the bands I was holding my breath for in anticipation of a reunion album.

I know I shouldn't trash their album since I haven't heard it yet. I'll try to find a few samples to listen to and see if it changes my opinion.

My pal Jim "Eno" Roe is doing the layout for the cover and liner notes -- he's a close friend of John Easdale. I'm looking forward to hearing it myself.

Well, I think it's kind of a regional thing by necessity, where the band plays shows around, testing the waters for a reunion, and you think "damn, they really should be putting out a record." And so they have.

I'm two cuts into it on the stream, as of next week. (A number of the tracks came out as an EP last year - so actually, I'm about five tracks into the album...guess you could say I like it.)

Me too! I like the album "Cinema Verite" where they covered "Femme Fatale" and "Candidate" (but I generally don't appreciate cover versions).

Listening to Dramarama always reminds me of the band "For Squirrels" and vice versa...
