Have you guys/gals heard of a band called Cut Copy?
The have a great 80`s sound, and the name of the cd is Bright Like Neon Love. The track "Saturdays" reminds me of "1986" running around the streets of NYC.
Give them a try...Great stuff.

Cut Copy kick ass.....great melodies, use of synths and vocals. However when I saw them live I was a little dissapointed as it didn't really work. Crowd loved it though!!!

Absolutely...huge following here in their home country and city of Melbourne...I've been on them since the beginning and their first EP before they broke big with "Bright Like Neon Love"

Absolutely brilliant!

they also do excellent remixing of other artists that sound like them. The remixes they've done are probably listed on discogs.com if you're interested.

love these guys ! I think they sat around and listened to a LOT of new wave, and then decided to try it themselves. "Love Stands Still", "Autobahn Music Box", & "The Future" in particular.

If you like Cut Copy...definitely check out Tesla Boy.

One track/mix NOT TO MISS is "Neon Love [Sare Havlicek Remix]".
Their MODERN THRILLS album is very nice. Two standout tracks that also shouldn't be missed: "Electric Lady" and "Speed of Light".
