The other discussion about Madonna STILL being around after all these years got me curious. Seems Madge has a new song out. It brilliantly samples ABBA's "Gimme Gimme Gimme" ! I had read that Bjorn and Benny do not normally allow their songs to be sampled, but they did it this time b/c they think Madonna is great. Huh. What do you think? It's cheesily, breezily dancey and eye-rollingly catchy!

I like it! I'm usually not into her, but it sounds like she's making some music that's fun again.

I don't usually like Madonna, either, but this one is fun!

I stopped when I bought [i]Music[/i]. I have every album and a ton of singles from before that. She is one of my favourite artists, but she totally jumped the shark at [i]Music[/i]. ABBA is ABBA, Maddie was Maddie... now she's "Esther" or some bullshit like that[xx(]

I love her old stuff. I haven't been into anything she's done since the early 90s, but I may have to purchase this CD.

I think she's brilliant in that she is constantly reinventing herself and is able to remain relevant 20+ years after the release of her debut album. She's still selling out arenas.

Not that I don't thinks she's a freak. The whole Kabbalah thing is just too much.

BTW, I read on Fox news that she also samples the bass line from the Michael Jackson tune "Can You Feel It?" for her song "Sorry." At least she got permission from the artists. The same can't be said for Kanye West. He probably has a nice big lawsuit coming his way.

I couldn't listen to more than 10 seconds of this song. Yeah, she's definitely lost it.

It's not bad. It will probably be a hit for her.

Her voice is great but the song is quite crappy. You don't mess with classics. I'll pass.

The new album should be great as songs are being produced by Stuart Price aka Les Rythmes Digitales and I think Mirwais had a hand in making it too!!!

Ive never been a Madoona fan. After saying that I will say its the first halfway decent thing shes done in years.

..i'm almost ashamed to say i like it - the music on the track is great electropop - even if it is about two years too late for her to be using (as a dance track!).
i'll be buying it, hoping that i don't notice her singing too much...

Well I saw the video for this song last night on VH1. Madonna really ought to know better than to glorify her scrawny ass in pink leotards for a full two minutes. It was like watching my Mom having a mid-life crisis.

At least the song is bouncy. She's finally stopped imitating Bjork, which she's been doing for years and years now. Anyone see the DVD of the "Drowned World" tour? It was like an open love letter to Bjork.
