Does anyone remember them? Circa 1988? Their cover of Holly And The Italians' "Tell That Girl To Shut Up"? I had their three albums on tape. They never crossed over to the U.S. and they called it quits in 1991.
From what I remember, lead singer Wendy James made a few remarks in the British press about winning an oscar one day and they turned on her. She made a solo record with Elvis Costello writing all the material (and it's good!) and then she dropped out of sight.

Wonderful band. "Sister Moon", "I Just Wanna Be With You", "Baby, I Don't Care". Embracing the Manchester sound as they spun into oblivion.

Yeah, Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr were Electronic for the "Get the Message" single and then somewhere in there Neil Tennant joined in for the song "Dissapointed" from the Cool World soundtrack. I know there was one album. There may have been a second.
