Does anyone here remember the novelty New Wave band from Boston called The Fools? They had a few albums out on the EMI label back in the early to mid 80's that were quite good.I loved their remake of "I Won't Grow Up" and of course for those who remember and like the band,just about everyone remembers their most classic song of all their take on The Talking Heads "Psycho Killer" called Psycho Chicken,which is a laugh a riot for those who may have never heard the song before.They have a website and you can check it out by going here.

For those who have often wonder whatever happened to these guys like I did at first, you can now read up on what they are currently doing today,and if they are going to be playing in your area anytime soon.By the way are there any fans of The Fools here?

I am vaguely familiar of them. I have seen their albums in the used bins at some stores here. Any idea if there works will be transfered to cd?

They did "Psycho Chicken", right?

I have "Psycho Chicken" on a clear orange vinyl 7" they gave away with the album. I saw them play once when they were promoting the album too. Very entertaining.

"Mutual of Omaha" made many a mix tape in its day.

Its a Night for Beautiful Girls was quite a big hit form them--moreso than Psycho Chicken.

I think I saw these guys open for Van Halen a long time ago/

Van Halen picked some odd opening acts.... a 'metalhead' pal of mine saw them once and told me that some stupid group called After the Fire had opened for them! I wonder if ATF were a little nervous opening for THAT crowd...

Actually the Fools first tour was opening for the Knack. They were such joksters, they were almost tossed off the tour. Seems the Knack didn't sing all their own stuff (never mind write it), and the Fools would be back behind the curtain annoying (read pi
