Yes! I watched 1980 last night and it was great. Ahh, the memories my malleable young mind retained... all of them pertained to TV. How sad.

I dvr'ed a few episodes, so far I've seen 1980 and was dissapointed that they used music from other than 1980 throughout the segments. It would have been cool if they would have used only music from 1980 instead of 1987, 1985, etc... Each show should have used only music pertaining to that year. Just a thought.

In my mind they have gone one sequal too many. When the "BIG" movie of the year that they need to discuss is..tah dah... DC Cab--you KNOW they are pushing the limits. I barely remember such a movie and certainly never saw it!!!!!!!!

Vh1 I love the 80's is pure rubbish. Instead watch Vh1 Classics We are the 80's and The Alternative for the Real 80's experience!

For the most part I enjoyed it. But I was a little irritated that they didn't feature only the msuic from the year they were doing in the background. For example, I heard "Love Shack" playing in the background of the 1985 episode.

I noticed that too. They played Just Can't Get Enough in 1985 or so.

I thought Fine Young Cannibals - "She Drives Me Crazy" came out in '86 not '89. It's featured as one of the big songs in '89.

Uh, yeah. I didn't even enter the double digits age-wise until 48 hours before 1990 and even *I* recognize the incredibly stupid nature of those "I Love The '80s" programs. Though they've not been even 1/200th as inane and pointless as the "I Love The '90s" programs, where a bunch of people who were TOO F***ING OLD FOR THE DECADE "reminisce" about their post-VH1 view of THAT decade. I mean, look at how they handled grunge, i.e. perhaps the most important musical revolution of the '90s. Nearly every single one of those talking idiots were spewing badly aged stereotypes that showed them to be completely clueless about that whole genre -- except for one. And he was DEE SNIDER, you guys. Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, i.e. the leader of one of the groups that grunge sought to destroy!! DEE SNIDER f***ing got it in a way that that lobotomy subject Hal Sparks, for example, never could. But anyway. The sentiments to stick to VH1 Classic are definitely repeated on my corner. You want to get the '90s? Watch "The Alternative" and see the videos I grew up on, from Catherine Wheel, Blur, Beck, James, Porno For Pyros, and so many more. When I want to get my '80s fill, there is nothing better than "We Are The '80s". And that request hour used to be supercool too, up until a few months ago. So yeah, VH1 Classic = awesome, and all those "I Love The ____" programs ought to be flung into a landfill post haste.

I agree that they should only play the songs that came out (or were at least hits) the year of the show they are doing. I *know* that when I was watching the '82 or '83 episode that they played a tune that was late 80's....

Now this Vh1 Classic...is that a satellite/digital cable channel? These shows are not on regular Vh1, right? I only have basic. I have heard people talk about "The Alternative" but have never seen it on. I so miss 120 Minutes....sigh. Thank goodness I do have a VHS tape full of stuff from back then...

Nope, came out in spring of '89
