BERLIN:Could'nt resist Terri Nunn's "come hither" look on the cover. Basically it's a hodge-podge of live tracks and cover songs. The cover of Bowie's "Fashion" is interesting. The two originals are better. I don't know what to make of this really. A souvenier to sell at concerts? Nice but no big comeback.

KATE BUSH: Her new single. The b-side is a cover of...wait for it..."Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye! Strangely faithful too.

Very wierd day for these two 80's artists.

Terri Nunn sent me an autographed copy of the new Berlin CD last week. I believe the original members only appear on one track, the acoustic version of "No More Words." It's a fun album, especially the original tunes such as "Down and Dirty." Certainly recommended. Nunn was kind enough to do station IDs for all the jocks at my station (http://www.wxb102forever.com). She was wonderful to talk to, very kind and down to Earth. Funny, too.

I listened to the Berlin CD at the listening station at Tower Records and loved the first song but for some reason couldn't get into the rest of the songs. I had high hopes but it quickly faded. Terri's voice is really good though, I have to admit. She has improved so much over the years.

I'm gonna have to go out and pick up the new Kate Bush Cd. Even though her last releases weren't as cutting edge and amazing as "The Dreaming" and "Hounds Of Love", I've followed her career with interest. And A new release has certainly been long awaited.
