Music Choice New Wave Channel

Postby knowitallrecs » Fri May 28, 2004 7:13 am

Anybody listen to Music Choice's New Wave Channel
on Digital Cable? They play some really good stuff,
combining the forgotten with the familiar. There's still

"Sunday Morning." I heard they're renaming the station Retro Active.
Anybody know what that is all about?

How funny -- I turned it on this afternoon for the very first time! I'm listening to it right now. It is really good. And I agree completely with what you said. Even if they played the Bangles twice in the last hour, they still include some really goo

It is really cool. I have heard the Wonder Stuff, The Stranglers, and Ultravox all in a row and with no commercials!! I read that they are going to merge the 80's channel and the new wave channel to create the RetroActive station. Why can't they just l

Devildog, I really hope that isn't true! I leave that channel on nearly all day. That would really suck if the two channels merged[:(!]

Here is what I remember: About three weeks ago, I turned to the new wave channel and where it normally displays an album cover, there was a message stating that in July, the new wave channel will become the Retro Active channel. I wanted to know more s

I remember seeing that on the New Wave Channel as well, but didn't it say "classic alternative hits" on there or something like that? I have a feeling that Retro Active will incorporate the New Wave and post-punk music that was released in the early '90s

Hopefully by mixing the two we'll get a better mix. I do like the really bizarro stuff they play (Ultavox??) and but it would be nice to slow it down sometimes with Air Supply or Dan Hill to break up the synthesizer beat tempos. Maybe like about every 4 o

I no longer have that channel. When I lived in another state and had it--I enjoyed it very much.Hence, the title "New Wave Channel" . Cant imagine the merge with 70's love ballad crap like Air Supply and the like. That is defeating the entire purpose in its
