New Wave Outpost Forum

Hi All,

Just a quick message to connect with Boston New Wavers. If you live in the New England area you already know about a lack of good new wave or even general 80's dance nights around town.

Anyways, I'm an up and coming mobile DJ who would love to do some more new wave focused parties in the near future. I have a nice professional sound system and a very good selection of music so if you see this and would be interested in talking about about putting something together I'm all ears.

I live nearby in New hampshire. If you hear of any places let me know. I went to a place on Landsdown Street once which had a psychelic aura to it. I can't remember the name of the place

Loved spit & the Metro!!!

Spit on Tuesday nights had the best New Wave music in town!

I had forgotton all about Spit on Tuesdays!
The group I hung around with also would do the Metro/Spit or Campus/ManRay on Sundays. We'd also do the 1270 on Fridays & Saturdays - the second floor new wave room. I remember it was just a dancefloor with black bleacher type things surrounding it - they played great music. I was never much of a fan of the upstaors disco room though. Once in a great while we'd try the Rat.

There was another small industrial bar in Cambridge, right in Central Sqaure - I can't remember the name of it though - it had chain link fence on the walls & TVs everywhere brocasting static...

Was that Ground Zero? I know you took us to that place when Bfflo Grl & I visited you there inthe late 80s.

Ground Zero was the place!!! Very Industrial with the tiniest dance floor around. They were t great with your music requests. Towards the end they had some great bands playing there.
