I need more cowbell

I thought my 250th post should address an important issue so...

While listening to the opening of "World Destruction" by Time Zone, I realized new wave had a real contender to BOC's "Don't Fear the Reaper" in the Best Use of Cowbell category.

I gotta have more cowbell, baby! [;)]

Didn't "Misadventure" by Squeeze have a cowbell in it as well?

Yes, great cowbell.

And didn't Loverboy's "Everybody's Working for the Weekend" open with an catchy cowbell solo? Always kept me on the edge of my seat cuz the opening sounded exactly like "Mississippi Queen" by Leslie West & Mountain... would it be hard rock from the 70's or canajun pop from the 80's?

Gotta love that cowbell baby.

The Rapture certainly use a lot of cowbell in their performances. In fact, there's always a point in the show where a fan gets to parade around the stage holding up a giant cardboard sign that reads "MORE COWBELL"!

Marcia Bailla by Rita Metsuka. (spelled wrong I'm sure) The begining is all cow bell. What we need is more cow bell!

I loved the SNL sketch, fantastic. I know this argument will haunt us all til our graves "is it NW or not NW". That said one of the greatest uses of Cowbell(a much underrated instrument in my opinion) was Madonna's 'Holiday'. Electric Cowbell maybe, but Cowbell nonetheless.

One day I will learn the dance moves from the video clip featuring her and her brother on TOTP. I've been trying to master them for the better part of a decade.

Aw, who am I kidding, I've still got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!

That being said, the dude from the Rapture bangs a mean one.

Is this where this is from???
There was a skit on Saturday Night live I think,
where they were playing "Don't Fear The Reaper"
by Blue Oyster Cult. They had to keep starting the song over and over with the producer screaming "more cowbell"!

But otherwise,
You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive

That was the skit and their is only one actor who could pull it off. The great Christopher Walken. How can you say that line without laughing? I got a fever, and the only perscription is more cow bell!

.... you want some bell, I found some bell! Try Techno Bell by 808 State, off the album Ex:El. Said track is so named because of its extensive use of the TB preset synth sound on some.
