Whatever happened to these guys? Are they still together as a band? If so,how come there isn't anything new about them anywhere? Do alot of you like their music and which songs and albums did you like the best by them? For some reason I have always felt that they sounded alot like The Pet Shop Boys style, and their lead vocalist sure sounded alot like Neil Tennant.
But that was never really a bad thing.Just mentioning the comparisons.My favorite album and it was the least commercial album of theirs of all was the Live And Peace album, or whatever it was called.Not sure of the correct title right now.But it was a great album and alot les Top 40 then their self titled album.Overall though,I thought that they were pretty good for an electronic New Wave band.What do all of you think of Information Society as a whole for a band?

I really like their self titled debut from 1988 with the song "Whats On Your Mind(Pure Energy)". I was disappointed with their second release, "Hack". It lacked consistency and I found it hard to listen to. I am not familiar with their later releases "

I agree with DevilDog. The first album was great. Besides the club smash "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)", "Running" and the ABBA cover "Lay All Your Love Me" were good cuts too. The instrumental mix of "Running" from the 12" Single was great for DJ

Living in Minneapolis I have a bias towrds the band. I love their first EP (white with a black "I" in a circle). It's really primative and sounds nothing like thier pop hits. They had an album called "Creatures Of Influence" on Twin Tone Records that i
