I think Simon has given up on having a page. He may still have his Paul Haig site up, but that's it.

As far as I know his public internet presence is toast. He's posted here before, and I believe he said he was on Soulseek.

All I found was the Paul Haig page, too. Damn shame that Torchomatic UK went down. Well, nothing lasts forever.

I'm pretty sure in the end it was RIAA warnings that caused Simon to shut it down. I think Torchomatic could have continued on without the mp3 files, but the site was definitely a labor of love. I realize the time and effort that goes into maintaining a site like that on a regular basis. I certainly wouldn't blame Simon if he decided to move on to do something else with his life.

I can understand that, but if you're out there, Simon -- it was a great site while it lasted -- I miss Torchmatic.[V]

Is was the BPI that finally closed the site down, what a shame. :(

Simon really did put his heart and soul into the site and it showed. He introduced us to a part of the 80s we would never normally have a chance to hear and by doing so expanded our range of interests.

Simon, thank you for what you've done, gone but NOT forgotten. [V]

Would it be possible for Simon & Rene to post songs right here at the New Wave Outpost.

It's a shame I never discovered Simons' site before it was shut down, I've heard so many great things about it.
