Swedish Garage Punk

Back in my record collecting days,I feverishly searched for more obscure stuff and happened across this somewhat rare genre-Garage punk ! As in the early 80's material.I found that many of these bands emulated the late 60's sound with very good results.

For that retro, garage sound nobody does it better than the Swedes and Aussies (The Nomads and Pyromaniacs from Sweden, Hoodoo Gurus, Lime Spiders and Screaming Tribesmen from Oz.) Hell, they're even better than most of the American bands they were emula

Recently Sweden and surrounds have pumped out great garage/metal/punk bands like The Hellacopters and the Backyard Babys.

Again following the path set by the garage bands I liked The Scientists and Beasts Of Burbon from Oz. More swampy than the Flamin

I've got several Leather Nun albums in my collection. "For The Love Of Your Eyes" has to be one of the best ballads I've heard.
