I was just wondering...

Are there any good New Wave/Christmas songs out there? 'Tis the season, and all I have in my iPod even remotely close are George Michael's "Last Christmas" and Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas". (Also, I have a-ha's "Thought That It Was You," but that's really stretching it.)

Any help?

Any Chance you can access the NW Hub?
I (and others)have plenty of Traditional, NW & Alternative genre Xmas tunes on tap.
If Not, I'll post some in the Mp3 forum. Stay Tuned![;)]

Don't you need to share a lot of your own NW music to be on that Hub? I'm a novice at best, and I've never tried to obtain access.

No secret hand shakes required just a PC or Mac with a min 1GB to share.
A broadband connex is also preferable though not absolutely necessary.

First off you will need to have to contact the hub administrators @hub_invite@hotmail.com to get access privileges and additional info.

Does anyone consider "Christmas Island" by Depeche Mode a Christmas song, or is it just an instrumental on which they slapped that title?

I never quite "got" the title of that song.

Christmas Island is off the coast of Australia. It is most famous for an annual crab migration from one end of the island to the other, causing much havoc and screaming girlies.

Christmas Island is also a not so popular christmas song. Jackie Gleason recorded an instrumental version. The Andrews Sisters did a vocal version. I don't think I've ever heard it...

Hey, maybe one of you guys could help me. I know in the 80's, Warner Bros Records released a CD promo Christmas compilation called, I think, "A Winter Warner Land". There were two songs on it that I'm really excited to hear. One was by Book of Love, the other was by Torch Song. Anyone know these? And, could you please possibly share them with the group?
