...not that anybody will really care but....it's "Missing You" by John Waite. You can sing it on top of "Cool". I heard "Missing You" on the radio and it's practically note for note (only the bridges aree different).
Makes sense to borrow that melody since it was a #1 hit for a long time and it's lodged in everyone's brain whether they like it or not. It's just "forgotten" enough to sound new again.

Wait a sec - What about "Falling In Love (Uh-Oh)" by Miami Sound Machine? There's a similarity there too.

Bring back No Doubt . Gwen Stefani solo music sucks ( in my opinion ), unless you're a 10 year old girl .

I can't really get into either. I think "Cool" might be the best (and only) decent thing she's ever done. I tried getting into No Doubt but the music was just very dull to me. I could'nt take their "look" either in videos (which I understand was a throwback to the 80's New Wave freaky hair/goofy clothes style...which I always thought was kind of embarassing and clown-like even back in the 80's).
I have fond memories of "Just A Girl" (from 10 years ago?) because that song came out when I was still a Friday night bar and clubgoer and I remember all the girls going apeshit when that song came on.
I remember thinking "Don't Speak" was an okay hit until I realized it was "Fame" by Irene Cara slowed down a bit.
That said, I guess there's something I'm missing because nearly everyone trashes Gwen solo but loves No Doubt so I'll give that Greatest Hits CD another listen.
