I secretly dig really good 70s rock--but, no: I am not a closet butt-rocker. I'm hard pressed to recall any names here, but I'd know the song if I heard it.

I love classical music. It's tough to pick out any one composer, though. One of my favorite pieces is Ralph Vaughn Williams "The Lark Ascending."

I'm not into jazz or blues. Though I do love Ella Fitzgerald and Mahalia Jackson.

Aside from NW my main musical love is pre-war american pop. Rural blues, pre-bluegrass country stringband stuff, jug band, hot jazz-- cartoon and Laurel and Hardy type stuff as well. Ragtime guitar...ukulele-driven stuff. I still believe the pinnacle of recorded music (in all its history and across the globe) happened in america between about 1923 and 1939.

Nothing beats music from that era for me, though there are some highlights from all periods. Good New Wave makes me feel really joyous and goofy in a good way. It's essential for me.

I also really like space age bachelor pad stuff...exotica... rockabilly and garage and the wilder doo-wop stuff...the really good stuff from most eras and genres.

I also have a large collection of electronic composers albums and CDs and lots of 60s Moog-type albums.

Audioslave: Like A Stone & I Am The Highway. These 2 songs sound like NW.
Blur: s/t I can't recall why I bought this stupid CD may be because of Song2 or because there was nothing to buy in Tower. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like to leave a record bar empty ended[:(!]
Michelle Branch:Are U happy now? OK, OK I found for a while that the song was cute and may be it reminded me of a former GF. eheheh
Chemical Brothers:(Singles)The Golden Path. Whatever THEY say, this is probably their only good song!
Coldplay:A Rush of Blood To The Head & Parachutes. These 2 albums are not bad.
Death Cab For Cutie: Soul Meets Body. I confess that I like that song, if only it could happen more often in real life![:D]
Evanescence: Album Fallen. Well it had some Goth flavour and in comparison with all the present crap.... it was refreshing...for a short while...[:)]
Franz Ferdinand s/t: Darts Of Pleasure. I resisted a long time before buying this CD!
Fuel:Million Miles . Just heard it on the radio and.... voila!
Kasabian:LSF & Club Foot. I love soccer![:D]
Marjorie Fair: Waves. This song is actually cute!!!!
Stacie Orrico:Stuck. Sometimes I feel myself stuck![:)]
Plumb: Somehow, I liked the song Real[:0]
