I remember being a crass young man in high school when Reagan got shot. A bunch of us cheered, we got in big trouble, we couldn't have given less of a rat's ass. Hey, can anyone get me a copy of Ronnies Song just for the memories???

Sorry if I sound "hateful" (see the Sinéad thread) but I could care less. The man lived to be 93. Too bad that so many AIDS patients didn't have that privelege (thanks to him).

ExRat might sound hateful, but Reagan WAS pretty hated, revisionist history aside. It was love/hate and little inbetween back then. And AIDS in fact CAN be controlled now - Reagen could have helped get that on track a few years and few thousand lives earl

I was on my way back from a wedding in northern Illinois and was driving through Reagans boyhood town of Dixon Illinois and there were literaly dozens of major news crews around his childhood home. It was a sad moment for America.I'm not a registered vote

Love him or hate him, Reagan was a huge part of the 80s. His passing is worthy of reflection.
