Now here was a really weird band that I could never get into.Imagine that calling them weird? All I remember is seeing some really weird music videos by them,when they ran them on Night Flight years ago,and just remember not liking their style at all.They were so weird that I don't think that MTV ever ran any of their videos on their music channel.

Did any of you actually like these strange and weird guys?

Yeah, I do like The Residents....this is true art music, lets say abstract, rich in fresh ideas, i guess that what some people dont "get", the fact that they are very unconventional.

These guys are geniuses! Most of their albums are one big story, my favorite of which is God In 3 Persons, which is an awfully twisted tale. And the fact that they have managed to keep their identities a secret for so long is mighty impressive. Real pione

They were part of that genre of avant garde music that included such bands as Tuxedomoon, Renaldo and The Loaf, and The Art Bears. Pretty crazy stuff. Not for the timid!

I saw them in Barcelona a couple years ago, and was kind of pathetic, a very obsolete approach to visuals and non-evolved programming.

Anyway, I will always LOVE their cover of Hank William's "Kaw liga"
