Leaving Trains fans?

Anybody else out there like these guys? I don't think you could call them new wave, but their earlier stuff was part of the LA "paisley underground" & they had some great power pop/punk stuff as well. They've been at it for over 20 years now & are one of those incredibly overlooked bands.

They're still together? I have the cd "Smoke Follows Beauty" (I think that's the name). I never really got into it though. I loved their song called "Leaving Train" that was on the Enigma Variations cd though.

Yep, they're still at it. "Smoke Follows Beauty" isn't one of their best records, that one & "The Big Jinx" are a little sub par for them. They did put a live CD out last year & last I heard, they had reunited with the original line up, hope they put something out.

You also might want to check out the reissues of the two LA scene comps "Warfrat Tales" & "Keats Rides A Harley". The Trains are on both (from their very early period), as well as similar stuff like 100 Flowers, the Last, Gun Club, Urinals, etc...
