I dunno if you have to remember that much. I think they're still around. I notice them in the goth folders of an electro hub I belong to. I don't see your particular song but some others. "This Must Be The Place I've Waited Years to Leave" or "TMBTPIWYTL" cover off the Pet Shop Boys retrospective seems pretty popular along with their first full album "World Inside".

Human Drama is one of my favorite bands. It's basically the project of singer/songwriter Johnny Indovina. They released an EP on RCA followed by the full-length "Feel" in 1989. It was an amazing album, but RCA didn't really seem to know what to do w/ it, so it tanked. "Feel" contained classic songs like "I Could Be A Killer", "Through My Eyes", "There is Only You" and "Death of an Angel." Sadly, "Feel" has long been out of print, and copies on eBay go for quite a bit of $$$.

Human Drama continued recording throughout the 90's on Triple XXX records and also Projekt. "The World Inside" was their 2nd full-length CD. It was a turn to a more acoustic-based, introspective sound. In my opinion, "The World Inside" still stands as Human Drama's greatest work. "Tears", "This Tangled Web", "Look Into a Strangers Eyes", "Fascination and Fear" are some of the high points, but the entire album is stellar. Supposedly, it is being re-released in 2006 on Triple XXX with a bonus CD!! But I believe the original is still in print, and it is HIGHLY recommended.

Human Drama followed that with an innovative covers album called "Pinups" (a tribute to the Bowie covers album of the same name), which featured covers of Johnny's favorite tracks - - including a truly breathtaking version of "Caroline Says" by Lou Reed, and stuff by Joy Division ("Decades" and "LWTUA"), The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Tom Waits, and others. "Pinups" is still in print, I believe.

An EP called "Human Drama" followed (HD's first release for Projekt), and then the full-length "Songs of Betrayal" which was released in 1995 (or 1996?). It was another masterpiece, almost 80 minutes worth of stellar material. It was ultimately re-released as a 2-CD set, with a few additional songs added. Still in print, and well worth checking out. Some key tracks: "This Forgotten Love", "Blue", "Another 50 Miles", "Sad I Cry" and "Let The Darkness In".

HD released an excellent live CD, then closed the 90's with "Solemn Sun Setting", another great record. 2002's "Cause and Effect" was the final Human Drama studio album, as Johnny Indovina has decided to go on recording under his own name. Supposedly new material is on the way.

A good place to start for those curious about HD is a greatest hits compilation called "In a Perfect World... the Best of Human Drama." It was released I believe in 2000 or 2001, and is an excellent survey of their career. It is still in print and widely available on all the online music shops.

I hope some of ya'll take the time to check out Human Drama. They are a band that have been criminally undervalued. Johnny Indovina is a fantastic talent, and deserves far more recognition than he has thus far received.
