What are the chances that we will ever see their two albums release on cd? Has anyone heard of any talk or news regarding this?

Pretty slim, I'm afraid. Those two albums, as of last time I checked, were controlled by BMG which has now merged with Sony. Prior to that merger Superfecta had a half-a-notion to license them but we just couldn't justify the costs for the licenses knowing what the potential sales were (under 1,000 copies). A licensee would have had to have guaranteed 3,000 units - but now post-merger SonyBMG makes you guarantee 5,000 units - so the terms are now even LESS favorable to 3rd parties.

So then it remains will SonyBMG issue them on CD themselves - well - if you can't forecast sales of any consequence it's just not worth their time and energy to issue it themselves.

The only hopes are:

1. The band somehow can gain control of their masters and issue them once that happens - and this is highly unlikely

2. As downloading becomes more and more significant SonyBMG digs deeper into their vaults and starts issuing EVERYTHING for digital distribution. Not CD but as close as I think one might come to ever seeing these officially released.

Pretty sad Jason...but thanks for trying!

You know what that means though? The next best thing is to get your ass on the hub and DL the pristine 320k vinyl rips of Slow Children and Mad About Town! Drop Tiger_MN or WolverineSyr an email to register!!!

Sad to hear but not surprising. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle.
