The Sinceros

Wahtever happened to these guys? I loved both of their albums.The first one "The Sound Of Sunbathing" was a perfect example of excellent New Wave mixed with Power Pop.All I know is that Don Snow after The Sinceros broke up,is that he later joined up with Squeeze for awhile.Ron Francois joined was it Big Country? If someone posts what band he later joined I will say ah yes that was the band he joined after The Sinceros broke up,but I forget right now which band he joined up with.

Does anyone know and can tell me? I also liked their second album alot,the highly underated Pet Rock.I liked "Take Me To Your Leader" from their first album,but it surely wasn't their best song from that album.I think Pet Rock was their best album for sure.Speaking of which when is one of the New Wave labels going to reissue both of their albums onto CD? I would like to see them both come out on CD.Anyone else feel the same way?

My favorite songs from off of their Pet Rock album are the following songs.

Socially(We Don't Get Along)A great song and one of their best songs by far.Early Squeeze sound for sure.
Down Down(Heading For Love)
Memory Lane
Barcelona(Excellent New Wave Power Pop)
Falling In And Out Of Love(Also covered later on by Tracey Ullman) This version is still the better version.

Midsong

Heck,for that mattter it looks like the whole album is a mint.I like every song from that album.

I loved 'World's Apart', but can't seem to get a copy on CD. Has anyone ever seen a link for a download online?
The rest of the album is wonderful guitar based pop indeed. Some of the members of this band were also in Lene Lovich's band.

Both of their albums need to be reissued onto CD,not just The Sound Of Sunbathing.Pet Rock is also equally as good if not better than The Sound Of Sunbathing.They can put both out as a two for one CD onto one CD,as they have done before with other bands.

I would like to know if these two albums can be downloaded, My band played support to the Sinceros during 1980/81 at the Bridge House, Canning Town. Some of their songs have stuck in my mind to this day.

Wonderful guitar/pop band with nods to innocent 60s pop.Their debut-which has something from Lovich quirkiness-is a classic.I only know that Don Snow was once with Vibrators.

The Sinceros were a great band. Very creative with good songs. They opened for my band (The Laughing Dogs) at Cornell University in 1979. Good friends of ours.
