Hey Gang:

I am DJing a retro Goth night next month. I will also be playing some of the Goth fringe bands (ie Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen and such).

What would you suggest or request?

I'm not sure if they're true "Goth," but I think that Sisters of Mercy would appeal to a Goth crowd. If you're considering Joy Division & Echo, I would definteily include Sisters, especially anything off FLOODLAND. [:p]

May be U could stick to the fringe for a while and play The Sisters Of Mercy, The Mission UK, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Gene Loves Jezebel, X'Mal Deutschland , Xymox, Fields Of The Nephilim, Bauhaus, Under Two Flags, The Lords Of The New Church, Lydia Lunch, Flesh For Lulu, The March Violets, Sex Gang Children, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Theatre Of Hate, Rita Lynch, Morgans and The Bolshoi eheheh.
The show will not look bad, I can even provide the playlist![:D]

I agree although I like also Vision thing which is considered a more accessible album, that's the reason why I have 3 copies of First and Last and Always eheheh

Well, I think Tones on Tail have some nice songs for that purpose (f.e. Christian Says, Go !) .
But I would definetely love to hear the Virgin Prunes (preferably form the If I die, I die album). Spooky enough.

Furthermore I like Suzie & the Banshees, and Bauhaus in that genre. Can fit in some Killing Jokes songs too.

I'm very much interested in the Mission UK DVD but I think it is coded Region1, could U check if it has been released also as Region 0 which would be safer.
