An article has appeared on NME.com today's edition talking about a gig that The Smiths's Andy Rourke organised... and the surprise of the show was that he and Marr played some songs together.
The full article is in the NME site and it's very interesting... it seems that it was a super show (I wish I had been there). New Order played a Joy Division set too.

Great to hear that New Order did play Joy Division songs. I would love to hear them play that and how it sounds nowadays. Better check the tourdates, they might be around !! (did think their 1982 performance in Oz was a bit dull. They were playing in a Theatre then, that might 've been the reason)

Coen, there's a DVD out there in the market of a New Order relatively recent show where they played some of their classics and JD classics such as True Faith, Crystal, She's lost control and Love will tear us apart.
That show gives you the idea of how New Order sounds playing Joy Division songs... (they sound amazing but you get the sensation that sth is missing... Ian obviously).
I've never got the chance to see No. in a concert because they never came to Argentina.... not even during the 80s (anyway, I was a baby then).

Thanks, Mechi. Might look out for that DVD then.
May be NO will come to Argentina one day. Or you could travel towards them IF...they play again. Good reason to travel for you...with good timing. [;)]

Yes maybe No. comes to Argentina some day or I get the chance to see them in another part of the world. Anyway, I'm OK listening to some No. in my computer as I'm doing now while one of my friends is cursing me beacuse I got tickets for U2 and she didn't.
