Anybody into Pauline Murray or Penetration ? (this one in particular)
Today I played her record with The Invisible Girls (who were all men [:D]). That album is so fantastic. Made in 1980, still so strong. Beautiful sonhgs, good instruments end production of Martin Hannett (of Joy Division fame). Really worth trying out if you're lucky enough to find a copy.
Next to this I found out what Pauline was doing after this record. I know her songs Animal Crazy as it's stuck in my head (after all these years and I don't even seem to have that record !). On the Penetration website, her first and latest band again, you can find lots of beautiful info about the band. You have to look a bit better to find the info about Pauline. But it's worth it !! I just bought Stormy Clouds on their website, and I'm curious how that one is !
PS:
Forgot to say,that this [Penetration] is another old 80's (actually...late 70's) re-uniting band this century. They have a DVD out from their 2003 performance.
Does anyone knows that, or has a clue what ist is like ?

I've got the Moving Targets LP by Penetration. I've never heard her stuff with the Invisible Girls, but that same band backed up John Cooper-Clarke on a record or 2.
