Calling All NW Experts--"B"

Postby NuWaveRx » Wed Feb 08, 2006 10:35 am

Well since my last attempt garnered some interest, and I got to learn a lot from you vets, let's try "B" For those just joining us these are bands reviewed in one of the two Trouser Press Record Guides I recently rediscovered. Again, all information (good, bad and ugly) is appreciated:

Baby Flies
Biff Bang Pow!
Peter Blegvad (or Slapp Happy)
Brilliant Corners
Big Drill Car

And some extra trivia (though probably not news to the vets here): Penn Jillette was in a band called Bongos, Bass, and Bob which released an LP in 1988 called, "Never Mind the Sex Pistols, Here's Bongos, Bass, and Bob"???!!!

Love to here that.....

Ah, Brilliant Corners. Love that band so much I wrote about them:

Many New Wave fans in the Philippines know them for "Brian Rix," their radio hit over there, but there are actually even better tracks such as "Never a Young Girl."
