Here's Version 3 of Video Name That Tune. There are 25 clips and 2 seconds of black between each clip in the linked video below. Apologies for some video compression artifacts - the tradeoff to keep the size relatively small. Any Quicktime-loaded computer should be able to play it - email me if you have issues. Just guess the Title and Artist to each song. The game is on a 75 point basis - 1 point for each Artist, 2 points for each Title.

Download the response form below and email it to me after you're done (my email is in the form). Make sure to include your forum name so I know who you are. I'll immediately send back the Score and Answer Sheet. I'll take requests and post YouSendIt links to respondents as requested. [b]Please remember NOT to post your responses here![/b]

No, I didn't use the AOL script. It's all html code.
I use an a Excel spreadsheet. I put the front half of
the hexadecimal color code into a column, whith the next
column blank for the text I use, and then the closing
font code. I type down the row leaving spaces between
words.

The first part in the first column looks like this:<h3><FONT COLOR="FF3333"></h3>the "FF0033" is the hexadecimal font code for RED. I just
change the code for each color and just paste the code down.
The second column is left blank, where I fill the letters I want
to use.

The third column has this code in it:<h3></FONT>
</h3>This tells the hexadecimal font code to stop that color.
I then cut and paste all three columns into a text editor
(I highly endorse NoteTab) and remove all the TABs.
Here's how the code for using "Hello Blir" will look:<h3>

[b]VNTT3 Scoring Update[/b]

With one week almost down and just into double-digit participation, we've got a healthy [b]54.9 average[/b] in this game. And thanks to Brambo and TomFin2000 knocking off #24, all of the clips have been accounted for. Remember that the game ends Sunday March 5th. And you all oughta really come on to The Hub to check out these and the other gigabytes of videos being shared there! Thanks to those who've played so far.

Entering the last few days. The average has climbed to [b]57+[/b] but entries are now at a trickle. Any final takers before Sunday??

Average was 58 on the nose with an overall guess rate of 77% for all songs. The new wave video brainiacs were…

I was really hoping I would run into Spaz again here. I haven't talked to him in five or six years. He was just getting started with his MFV series when I knew him. I was doing vinyl transfers at the time as well, so we were trading partners for awhile. Quite a few of us were in on that, actually. Man, I miss those times!
