Wow. I just happened to stumble on this forum, and it's an amazing topic.
Pretty much everything by Dead Can Dance is fantastic (although technically Lisa Girrard isn't singing in any known language.)
I have to agree with an earlier poster about Bel Canto. All of their songs are good, but what's ironic is that they are Norweigan, yet, after many recordings (group and solo) I have YET to hear any songs in Norweigan!
Someone also mentioned Peter Gabriel doing albums in German. As far as I know, he recorded the entire "Security" album (with Shock the Monkey or Schock Den Affen) and his debut album in German. I have listened to "Security", and being non-German speaking, I find the album to be just as incredible as the English version. Truly haunting, beautiful stuff.
Pizzicato Five are good, if you like Japanese bubble-gum electronica, but I still prefer their English "Baby Love Child."
...and I don't even want to get into how many Celtic/Irish bands are out there that sing in Galic (Clannad, Enya, Sinead O'Connor...)

The Alarm recorded a few of their songs in Welsh, their native tongue. The titles are impossible to pronounce. "Sold Me Down the River" probably works the best in Welsh.

Suzanne Vega recorded a Spanish version of "Luka." I sitll have the 45 someplace.

I'm argentinian and almost everything I listen is in English... but there was a GREAT argentinian new wave band called SODA STEREO that made incredible songs in Spanish. I recommend it highly to the ones that never heard of this band. Some of their good songs are:
1. La ciudad de la furia
2. Corazón delator
3. Lo que sangra
4. Zoom

Knowing that the article follows the gender and number of the noun it qualifies....
Definite articles: In English: The, in French: Le: before a masculine singular noun, La: before a feminine singular noun, Les: before a plural noun.
Train is masculine singular, Fête is feminine singular.

What is the correct spelling of the 2 tracks mentioned earlier in this thread?[:D]

My points now go to Holger Hiller in co-operation with the late Billy Mc Kenzie (Assoicates) with their spine-shivering 'Whippets'. Where the voice of Billy sounds like that of a Japanese kamikaze-singer, that co-operates with a German orchestrated Holger Hiller. (The song is about 'whippets', the fave-dogs of Mc Kenzie btw).
