In another thread, mechi mentioned her parents' musical listening prefs, and it got me wondering:
What type of music were your folks into ? We've had several discussions on what our spouse/ SO/ partner listens to, but I think a great generational glipmse could be had by some parental music. What do you say?
Mine: my mum was into the "cooler" music--Rolling Stones (esp. the early stuff), Led Zep, CSNY, Yardbirds, Three Dog Night, etc. My Pop, a real audiophile, was into more folksy-tinged and Oldies Pop: Kingston Trio, Slim Whitman, Beatles, old country, & Oldies stuff. My mum always joked the early Beatles were too goody-goody and my Pop joked back that the Stones were dirty. Oh yeah, and they both love Willie Nelson.
