Inspired by, yes. But certainly not directed at YOU or anyone in particular. As much as I can be angered by a post or whatever, I don't prefer to single people out. It's not necessary and I've read a lot worse on this board than what you wrote. And that is the truth.

Hmmm, I don’t know about this thread. Not to start any fights, but there seems to be a bit of hypocrisy here. While I recall stating in one of the recent threads that I find it sad that opinions cannot be stated without suffering the wrath of others, I recall anyone disagreeing with your viewpoints on the vinyl remastering subject, and who were not satisfied with some of your recently released remastering work, were attacked by you for simply stating their opinion. And I feel that if someone posted anything else along those lines, they would be attacked again. Just my opinion…

You misrepresent the original context. Some of the comments were just plain rude. Not that rudeness isn't all around us and practiced by all of us. However, when it comes to things that people put so much passion and effort into and is very much appreciated by others, you could easily take a little more tact in stating your opinions. I think you can be objective and clearly state your opinion without being so blunt, disrespectful or overly militant about every minutiae of technical detail. It just seems like obtuse showing off, and makes people wonder if you even like the music, which is the main point I'd think.

You certainly don't [i]have[/i] to do this, but it is what your momma [i]should[/i] have tought you to do. I think it's telling that a vitriolic stalker has followed you here from another forum. That should tell you something. We were polite enough to delete his comments. Show a little politeness back in such cases.

What icon? I thought the sarcasm was conveyed but the ridiculousness of the statement. But that requires a little thinking on the part of the reader and for that I apologize. It was not my intent to make your brain work harder that it already does.

Since you're a long time yet until only recently, inactive NWO'r, your observations Spaz are particularly valuable given the breadth of perspective which spans more years of Mike P's discussion forum than most of us here have been witness to (myself included).

Given that, it would suffice to say, Yes.. nowadays, people are indeed less respectful of other people's expressed opinions [i]especially[/i] when it concerns the politcal and theological debates (er, flame fests) presented in the NNNW forum.

Even during the course of 2 1/2 year membership in NWO, I have seen a distinct erosion in what was formally considered 'proper' forum etiquette.

[/quote] Since Blir has already touched on these 2 points, it would suffice to say that I'm most certainly considered to be among one in the former while having endured the wrath of the latter in the NNNW forum. Thankfully in that instance, it didn't take long for that individual's 'true colors' to show.

That being said, it should be everyone's goal to keep an open mind and a level head when engaging your fellow NWO'r on these boards.

Don't be afraid to voice your opinion, use your freedom of expression, it's great to use.

I've slaughtered enough sacred cows on here in my time and it caused a fuss becaused I had an opinion that was different from the majority and refused to kiss arse of major artists.

We all have differences of opinion and if it bothers a person so much on here have them blocked so you can't view their posts which I'm sure Beserker has done to me! [;)]

If a person cannot accept a differing viewpoint from their own, they can be described as being inflexible and learn to accept there's more than one side to a story (cliche alert!).

I freely admit my opinion has changed during the course of this thread and that Spaz's initial post might seem a little disingenuous when seen in combination with his song requests posted in the wrong forum.
