Yes, I don't think you have many to choose from among the Spanish speaking countries but, what about the old French, Dutch or British colonies?

I have been looking everywhere. (via the internet there are hundreds of properties you can look at.) Costa Rica was my first choice and I would still love to live there but prices have really gone up.
The Euro's strength against the dollar is also a bitch. I could however afford a villa on Montserrat (sp)[:p] Some of those islands you have to pay to apply to move there and the fees are like 100K plus, non refundable. Maybe Cuba when Fidel dies.
